How it works
Inlet
Wastewater enters the filter tank and passes through the cloth discs from outside to inside.
Filtration
The pile cloth media retains solids > 2 µm. The filtrate is discharged through the central hollow shaft.
Backwash
Automatic suction nozzles clean the filter cloth during operation without interruption.
Sludge discharge
The separated sludge is drawn off from the tank through a hopper.

Filter media selection
| Media type | Max. TSS loading (g/m²·h) | Typical max. TSS inlet (mg/L) | Phosphorus capability | Application focus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 micron pile cloth | 250 | 30 | < 0.2 mg/L achievable | Advanced tertiary treatment & phosphorus reduction |
| 10 micron pile cloth | 700 | 70 | Polishing stage (depends on conditions) | Higher solids load & general tertiary polishing |
Performance depends on influent characteristics and effluent requirements. The decisive design input is the TSS load at the filter inlet.
