Technical data
| Filter area | 10 – 30 m² |
| Flow rate | 100 – 300 m³/h |
| TSS effluent | < 2 mg/l |
| Filtration fineness | 5 or 10 µm pile cloth |
| Energy consumption | < 0.01 kWh/m³ |
| Material | Stainless steel 1.4301 / 1.4571 |
Indicative values. Final data is confirmed project-specifically.
How it works
Inlet
The water level in the tank rises and flows through the vertically arranged cloth discs.
Filtration
Solids are retained on the outside of the pile cloth; filtrate flows into the hollow shaft.
Level-controlled backwash
A rising level triggers the suction backwash of individual disc segments.
Sludge removal
Backwash sludge is returned to the process or thickened.
Typical applications
Sizes & configurations
RF-VCF series — vertical pile cloth disc filters
| Model | Discs | Filter area (m²) | Max. hydraulic capacity (m³/h) |
|---|---|---|---|
| RF-VCF-2 | 2 | 10 | 100 |
| RF-VCF-3 | 3 | 15 | 150 |
| RF-VCF-4 | 4 | 20 | 200 |
| RF-VCF-5 | 5 | 25 | 250 |
| RF-VCF-6 | 6 | 30 | 300 |
Modular design — intermediate configurations are available. 5 m² filter area and up to 50 m³/h per disc. Final sizing is subject to engineering verification.
Filter media selection
| Media type | Max. TSS loading (g/m²·h) | Typical max. TSS inlet (mg/L) | Phosphorus capability | Application focus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 micron pile cloth | 250 | 30 | < 0.2 mg/L achievable | Advanced tertiary treatment & phosphorus reduction |
| 10 micron pile cloth | 700 | 70 | Polishing stage (depends on conditions) | Higher solids load & general tertiary polishing |
Performance depends on influent characteristics and effluent requirements. The decisive design input is the TSS load at the filter inlet.
