Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data we process when you visit filter-systems.com, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. We keep data collection to the minimum required to answer technical enquiries.

2. Server log files

When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically stores information that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing device, time of the request and IP address.

This data is not merged with other data sources. It is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of our website. Log data is deleted or anonymised after a maximum of 30 days.

3. Technical enquiries and contact forms

If you send us an enquiry via one of our forms (plant finder, technical enquiry, rental request, engineering call), we store the details you provide — including your contact data, the technical parameters you enter and the page context from which the enquiry was sent — in order to process your request and for any follow-up questions.

Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. In all other cases the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Enquiry data remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose for storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods — in particular commercial and tax law retention obligations — remain unaffected.

4. File uploads

If you attach files to an enquiry (for example flow diagrams, laboratory analyses or data sheets), these are stored in an access-restricted, encrypted cloud storage environment and used exclusively to process your enquiry. They are not published and not passed on to third parties without your consent.

5. Email communication

Enquiries submitted through this website are forwarded to us by email. Transport encryption (TLS) is used where the receiving systems support it; we cannot guarantee end-to-end encryption of email communication. Please do not send confidential trade secrets through the contact form.

6. Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how visitors use this website.

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation. Your IP address is truncated by Google within the EU/EEA before being processed further, so it cannot be assigned to you directly. Data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA; Google relies on the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for such transfers.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings of this website or by installing the Google browser add-on to disable Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months and is used solely to understand which technical topics and product pages are relevant to our visitors.

7. Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor how our pages appear in Google Search. Search Console processes aggregated, non-personal data on search queries, impressions and clicks. No cookies are set on your device by this service.

8. Cookies

We use technically necessary cookies to operate the site (for example to store your language selection). These are set on the basis of § 25 (2) TTDSG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and do not require consent.

Analysis cookies (Google Analytics) are only set after you have given your consent. You can adjust or withdraw your decision at any time via the cookie settings and delete cookies in your browser at any time.

9. Hosting and content delivery

This website is hosted on infrastructure operated within the European Union and the USA. The hosting provider processes the data described in section 2 on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Web fonts are delivered from our own servers. No connection to external font providers is established when you load our pages.

10. Recipients and third countries

We do not sell personal data. Data is only passed on to processors that support us in operating the website and handling enquiries (hosting, email delivery, cloud storage, web analytics), and only to the extent necessary. Where data is transferred to a third country, this is done on the basis of an adequacy decision or the EU standard contractual clauses.

11. Your rights

You have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, an informal email to [email protected] is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

12. Data security

This website uses TLS/SSL encryption for all connections. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in the address bar of your browser. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss and unauthorised access.

13. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when changes to our services or the legal situation make this necessary. The current version always applies.
